WSI's staff includes several LEED (Leadership in
Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professionals ready
to assist our clients with green building projects or projects with
sustainable elements. We are committed to furthering the education
and development of not only our own staff, but also our subcontractors
and other industry professionals. WSI hosts regular Lunch and Learn
sessions at our on-site Training and Learning Center, where various
topics have included lighting, solar energy, water conservation,
energy efficiency, and building envelope concerns, just to name
a few. These meetings are open to our staff, clients, subcontractors,
and other trade professionals.
Our Sustainable Design & Construction Department, managed by Robyn Dowsey, LEED AP,
helps our clients analyze options, develop strategies, and build
consensus, so that the outcome is a healthier and more energy efficient
project. We provide Integrated Preconstruction
& Construction Coaching, LEED Construction Partnering, Preconstruction
Services, and Systems Modeling. Our Goal
Wharton-Smith
is committed to working with our clients and design partners to
create a sustainable, cost efficient and healthy building that reduces
energy costs, provides long-term efficiencies and encourages higher
user productivity. To learn more about WSI's Sustainability Practices, please visit the "News" section of our site and click on for "WSI Sustainability Efforts."
