Sanford, FL – February 1, 2018 – Wharton-Smith is excited to announce the induction of Paul Fulks, Senior Project Manager, to the Executive Council of the Volusia County Association for Responsible Development (VCARD). The appointment was made official during VCARD’s 32nd Annual Installation and Award Banquet held Wednesday, January 31st at the LPGA International in Daytona Beach.

VCARD is a not-for-profit dedicated to affecting positive outcomes for the development of Volusia County.  The organization serves to work with local governments and development professionals including developers, architects, engineers, general contractors, and others to facilitate open dialogue, monitor policies and legislation impacting development choices, provide educational forums, and overall help guide responsible growth throughout the region. Officers of VCARD and members of the Executive Council represent companies and individuals with a vested interest in the decisions made about growth within the Volusia County community.

Located just across the county line, a significant number of Wharton-Smith’s workforce reside in Volusia County, including Paul Fulks. “Wharton-Smith has been working in Volusia County for many years and in many ways, we consider Volusia County our community,” said Ron Davoli, President of Wharton-Smith. “We are proud to have Paul represent Wharton-Smith on the Executive Council and we are committed to working with VCARD and the development community to advocate for responsible development practices throughout the county,” he added.
