Wharton-Smith Construction Group recently welcomed Gerry Kelly as Director of Operations for their South Florida Commercial Division in Jupiter, FL.   Mr. Kelly brings with him three decades of construction experience and an extensive history of success in winning and managing large multi-million dollar projects.  Most recently, he worked as a Project Executive for The Weitz Company in West Palm Beach, Florida where he was responsible for operations oversight, client relations, project budgets and the quality assurance. Prior to that, Gerry held the position of Vice President of Operations at the Morganti Group, a general construction firm with diverse market sectors, including Aviation, Healthcare, Higher Education, Military and Hospitality.

As Director of Operations, Mr. Kelly will play a pivotal role in managing the significant commercial growth Wharton-Smith is experiencing in South Florida and assist in the anticipated expansion of the company into the senior living and hospitality markets. Darin Crafton, Wharton-Smith Executive Vice-President, said, “We are excited to welcome Gerry to our Wharton-Smith family and look forward to the leadership and insights he will bring to our growing company as we expand into new markets and continue to grow our existing commercial clientele in South Florida.”

“Gerry has an incredible wealth of experience to share with Wharton-Smith.  With over 30 years of experience in South Florida, Gerry not only understands the area’s needs but proudly calls it home.  His extensive experience in Operations will strengthen our growing portfolio in the region and prepare us as we broaden our reach into emerging commercial markets.  We are very excited to have Gerry leading these efforts, “said Ron Davoli, Wharton-Smith President and CEO.
