Wharton-Smith team members joined the Greyhound Nation on Aug. 16 as they celebrated their brand new stadium. The festivities included a community tailgate, a ribbon-cutting, and their first football game of the season. See more pictures.

The $1.9 million project included the demolition and replacement of the home section stadium bleachers, press box, stadium lighting, and new stadium speakers and cameras. The project also included expansion and resurfacing of the existing track.

In a letter to Paul Fulks, Lyman High School Principal Mike Rice praises the project team, “On behalf of our entire student body and staff, please accept my sincere thanks for your team’s time and dedication. From the development phase when we first met to review the proposed project budget, to the final stroke of paint that went on the walls, my confidence in Wharton-Smith never wavered. Your team was supportive, they communicated thoroughly, and they went above and beyond to ensure that our campus had the best quality product.”

Congratulations to the project team of Brad Buffington, Carlos Larin, Kevin Bradford, and Paul Fulks.
