Jim Kidd, Superintendent of South Tech Schools, opened the event by thanking Wharton-Smith for the tremendous effort that has been put into this project.

“Michael O’Neill, Wharton-Smith, and other members of the crew have been absolutely great to work with throughout this process,” Kidd remarked. “It hasn’t been an easy one, but they’ve stepped up to the cause.”

The project team will transform the abandoned Odyssey Middle School into a new home for South Tech Academy. The $15 million project includes construction of a 37,000 square foot vocational building with service bays, storage and instructional spaces, and renovation of the existing 180,000 square foot facility.
